Years ago at an antique store, I found a lovely toy double decker bus that I would have bought if it hadn’t been so pricey.  I now have the one pictured because it turns out I had one in my house!  Now for a vintage toy English phone booth?  I saw a real, life-size one for sale at a thrift shop once!

I helped my niece reupholster a chair the other day!  I was covered with the blue cloth which was on top of padding and the brownish striped cloth.  It’s all shiny and pretty now!  After some research (the lyre design, the style of the chair…) we discovered that the chair is almost 200 years old.  It can’t be a replica because there were handmade nails in it, which weren’t used after 1880, and was stuffed with horse hair.  So the chair is from 1830-1880!
