Page from a new sketchbook/art journal I started, one with lovely brown paper!  I have yet to finish a book; I think I have six different books laying around, some with most of the pages blank.  Anyway, I thrifted the little white jug, it’s maybe one of those things to put oil in (I painted it without the stopper).  On the left side I painted the design from a piece of fabric I had.

The shadows rose with him into the blinking lightsThrough her embrace the weathered yellow lines stay with me againDays when he would draw heaven, summer dreamers slept hand in hand in the dark.
On the slope of melancholy, their hearts burn young.  Trudging home to their cottony caves, we comfort them for days.

My recently purchased 1960’s Arabian Nights book.  It goes nicely with my Robin Hood book!

I made little journal booklets!  They’re pretty inside too.

Months ago, I was bumbling about in a thrift store when I came across a vintage comic book.  It was perfect for cutting up and using for things.  There was no publication date, and I eventually looked it up.  1950.  It turns out, Mansion of Evil was the first graphic novel ever published!  And I have a copy of it.  Ebay had a pristine copy of it for 96 dollars….but I’m keeping mine.  Plus, it’s very battered.  The main female character and I share the same name, too.  Beth!
