Adventures in cloth dyeing: flower edition!
1. Gather flowers
2. Mash
3. Squeeze out juice
4. Dye stuff!
They’ve faded a bit after they dried, but are still lovely shades. I love the unevenness in color as opposed to a purchased piece of cloth. I even tried out a mini tie dye (the last piece of cloth on the right)!
I finished the lamb softie. Actually it was done for a while, but it was supposed to have pom poms around the ears, and mine didn’t turn out that great. Whenever I try to make them they can easily be pulled apart, no matter how tight I tie them. So, naked ears.
The pattern is from the book I Love Patchwork by Rashida Coleman-Hale.

I ended up making a felt succulent! I made the pattern by looking at this one on Etsy (the seller has closed their shop). It came out alright, but the “dirt” is too high for the cup.
I’m currently loving potted fabric plants. I’m attempting to make my own!
I made some bows (tutorial). They’re just like these felt bows I made, but with more steps.
I attached the purple one to my cat’s collar…he was so handsome!
