When I made the chocolate chip pecan cookies I first mixed pecans into the dough, and then reserved some to put white chocolate and dried cranberries in.  They had more taste than the chocolate chip (chunk) ones.

Here’s a somewhat blurry picture taken on top of my washing machine of all the Christmas cookies together!  My mom made the almond cookies and the date-nut bars on the bottom of the left plate, and the chocolate and vanilla swirl ones.

The second pumpkin loaf (the recipe made two).  I thought I would like the chocolate chip one better, but the dried cranberries accompanied the pumpkin much better, where as the chocolate completely took over.

SCONES!!  Not gross hard ones.  Deliciously soft cranberry apricot-orange ones.  We had company over…they heard about my scones and requested them.  Problem was, we didn’t have any lemon curd to eat with them.  But as luck would have it, I had the exact amount of frozen lemon juice and zest (because you have to have fresh) to make some!
