These are so neat. Beaver & cat softies from Russia! (Weak wrists)
My sister-in-law claimed the lamb softie, who moved to her new home last night. I gave her a bow and added lace and buttons to the skirt…she is greatly improved.
Well that’s unfortunate. I attempted to make the “portuguese plaid” dog from the softies book. I only stuffed it partway and obviously didn’t finish it because it’s just…the head is too big and it’s puffy and weird.
A project in process! (Hey mister, I was getting ready to use that cloth you’re lying on)
Sometimes complicated things disguise themselves as easy looking. I tried out this adorable alpaca softie last month, and uh, well, you can see the results.
First I tried felt. Looking at it now I suppose it isn’t too bad, but it still had issues. I tried again with fleece and it looked like a furry diseased loch ness monster (the ears were too small to turn).
I now have three issues of Stuffed magazine on my shelf! Borders is closing (noo!) so this one was bought at 40% off, which certainly helps with the original $14.99. There was a lot to choose from, but these are my favorites from the current issue:
1 & 2. Emily Balsley
3. Penny Taylor
4. Samantha Cotterill
